Opioid Prevention in Communities, Youth, and Higher Education

Prevention is key to prevent opioid abuse and overdose. Following up on a previous SDAHO article called Avoid Opioid Initiative, we want to highlight the work occurring in South Dakota on Prevention. The South Dakota Department of Health, South Dakota Department of Social Services and South Dakota Division of Behavioral Health have developed several one page resource documents to explain the work that is occurring and the contacts for this work.

This week SDAHO is highlighting a few of these documents, which includes the following topics:​ Prevention in Communities, Prevention in Higher Education, and Youth Prevention.
