Livanta, a Medicare Beneficiary and Family Centered Care – Quality Improvement Organization (BFCC-QIO) will soon be conducting claim review activities for Medicare in South Dakota. The review includes short-stay reviews and reviews of higher-weighted diagnosis-related groups (DRG). Please note that Kepro will continue to conduct case review for Medicare beneficiary appeals and quality of care concerns. Claim review is an additional BFCC-QIO service, and will be conducted nationally by Livanta.
