Plan Now for the 2024 South Dakota Center for Nursing Workforce Symposium

Plan now to join the 2024 South Dakota Center for Nursing Workforce Symposium, taking place May 22, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown, in Sioux Falls.
The Center for Nursing Workforce (CNW), the South Dakota Nurses Association (SDNA), and Nursing Education Deans & Directors are pleased to be cohosting this year’s symposium. You will have the opportunity to network with colleagues, learn about South Dakota’s current nursing workforce supply and education pipeline to meet the state’s future workforce needs, and to gain insights from keynote speaker, Dr. Nelda Godfrey, to help nurses heal, flourish, and expertly care for others.

Dr. Godfrey is Professor and Associate Dean for Innovative Partnerships and Practice at the University of Kansas School of Nursing. She is highly regarded as a thought leader in nursing innovation and nursing education. She has authored numerous articles on new care delivery models that influence a stronger emphasis on the nurse within—researching and developing strategies to create the whole person experience in nursing practice going forward. Her work with the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing is transforming the way nurses, health care professionals, and society understand what it means to “think, act and feel like a nurse.”
