New South Dakota Medicaid BEES Implemented March 4

The new South Dakota Beneficiary Eligibility and Enrollment System (BEES) has been approved by CMS and is scheduled to be implemented on March 4, 2024. The system will include a responsive online application process designed to screen applicants for all medical eligibility programs. There will also be a modernized client portal where individuals can use their mySD login to check their eligibility status, receive electronic notifications, and update their information. There will be no direct impact to Providers or changes in claims processes. Long-Term Care Providers will notice minor changes to the forms they receive and an online application process that accommodates applications for the aged, blind, and disabled. Providers will receive a notification when the system is fully implemented and active.

Join us on Thursday, March 7, as the South Dakota Department of Social Services collaborates with SDAHO to delve into the latest features and functionalities of the new Medicaid system.  Members will be encouraged to ask questions.
