The South Dakota Department of Health worked in partnership with their CDC Foundation Infection Prevention Expert to compile various resources related to QSO-24-08-NH Enhanced Barrier Precautions (EBP) in Nursing Homes.

Here are additional resources for the Infection Preventionist on Enhanced Barrier Precautions:

  • Main CDC EBP webpage: this page includes background resources, videos, poster, and implementation guide.
  • CDC EBP Frequently Asked Questions: Refer back to this frequently, as more information will be updated in the future.
  • UNC Statewide Epidemiology webinar
  • Virginia Dept. of Health visual EBP algorithm resource

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) will be hosting a webinar, Advancing Safety: Implementing Enhanced Barrier Precautions on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 1 pm ET. Click here to register.
