Summer interns join SDAHO
Amee Patel and Alex Ourth have joined SDAHO for summer internships. Patel is helping SDAHO develop an online health care workforce toolkit for South Dakota. Ourth joins SDAHO as part of the RISE-UP program through USD and will assist the SDAHO team with strategic priorities.
DOH launches site with community living home draft rules
The South Dakota Department of Health has developed a website to allow access to the draft administrative rules regulating community living homes prior to the initiation of the formal rules promulgation process, which is planned for the summer of 2017.
Interpretive guidelines issued for emergency preparedness rules
The final rule on Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers was published
on Sept. 16, 2016. This rule affects all 17 provider and supplier types eligible for participation in Medicare.
DOH licensing season in progress
The South Dakota Department of Health says the 2017-2018 licensing season is in progress.
The department sent emails to all licensed providers during the first week of May.
