Staff from the South Dakota Department of Social Services, Division of Behavioral Health will present on

  • Self-care strategies – managing stressors during the pandemic
  • Tips for supporting your team members during the stressors of the pandemic
  • Overview of behavioral health resources in South Dakota
Presenters:

Melanie Boetel has been with the Division of Behavioral Health since 2013, where she currently serves as an Assistant Director, overseeing the publicly funded behavioral health treatment services and training. She has a masters degree in Counseling and has worked as a mental health therapist and vocational rehabilitation counselor in the past.

Andrea Heronimus is the Clinical Services Program Manager with the Division of Behavioral Health.  She has a BS degree in Alcohol and Drug studies and has over 18 years of experience working in a community mental health center with adults with serious mental illness providing case management, oversight of the Health Home and First Episode Psychosis programs, as well as provided liaison services to the community behavioral health hospital.
