As noted in Respecting Choices® website (https://respectingchoices.org/) Advance Care Planning (ACP) Facilitators are instrumental in helping individuals, their families, and their loved ones become more engaged in person-centered decision making. The First Steps® (FS) ACP Facilitator Certification course is designed to help participants learn the skills needed to facilitate foundational ACP conversations with individuals who are healthy or have early chronic illness. The purpose of this course is to assist participants in applying effective communication and conversation skills and critical thinking for person-centered ACP facilitation.
