Overview

This training will provide an introduction to “Secondary Traumatic Stress” (STS). The objectives for this training will be to increase understanding of how staff maybe at risk for STS, recognize signs and symptoms of STS, the impact STS may have on a person’s wellbeing and their work performance. Identify professional and personal support systems, develop self-care strategies and how to develop a wellness plan.

Presenter

Dee Le Beau-Hein is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. She has a Master of Science degree in Administrative Studies with a Minor in Human Resource Management from the University of South Dakota. Dee has extensive work experience in Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, administration, education, and training covering a wide range of topics. Dee now manages her own consulting firm, Swiftbird Consulting, LLC. She has established and maintains strong working relationships with Federal, State and Tribal agencies by providing training, education and consultation as needed.

Registration for this webinar is per connection needed at a facility. This allows multiple staff members to participate in the education using one connection. Prior registration is required to ensure connection information and applicable materials are distributed prior to the webinar.
