Veterans choice appropriations bill signed by the president

President Trump signed into law the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act of 2017 last week. The legislation provides $2.1 billion in funding to continue the Veterans Choice program, which was authorized under the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act of 2014 and extended in April. The program allows veterans to receive certain care from non-VA providers rather than waiting for a VA appointment or traveling long distances to a VA facility.
