A group including legislators and health care leaders gathered at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre on Tuesday for the first of eight legislative forums that will be held this year. The group discussed state and federal health care issues, with a special emphasis on the state’s fiscal outlook for 2018.
The forums provide opportunities to dialog about the important issues impacting health care in preparation for the upcoming 93rd Session of the South Dakota Legislature.
The next forum will be held in Vermillion on Dec. 11 followed by forums in Sioux Falls on Dec. 12 and Rapid City on Dec. 14.
