America’s Health Rankings from the United Health Foundation has released their Senior Report for 2018, which shows that South Dakota dropped from number 15 last year to 21 this year out of all 50 states. Utah ranked number one as the healthiest state and Louisiana scored at the bottom for senior health.
Health outcomes are determined by behaviors, community and environment, policy and clinical care categories. With the senior population projected to grow rapidly over the next several decades, the impact of seniors’ health and aging on their quality of life is an expanding area of interest.
