National anthem auditions sought for SDAHO convention

Calling all songbirds! Here’s your chance to exercise your vocal cords and pretend you’re on “The Voice!”

The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) is seeking an employee from a member facility to sing the national anthem as a part of the opening keynote luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 19, during the annual convention in Sioux Falls.

Employees who want to audition need to upload to YouTube a video audition of themself singing the national anthem a cappella by Aug. 1. For instructions on how to create a YouTube account and upload a video, please click here.

The video should be shared with kimberly.nelson@sdaho.org. She will reply to the submitting songbird to confirm receipt. If you do not receive a confirmation of receipt from Nelson, please notify her.

Submissions will be viewed and judged by an independent panel of three judges from other state associations.

Please encourage employees to consider auditioning for this opportunity.  Individuals who submit audition videos will be notified of their status by Sept. 1. The individual selected will receive a complimentary registration to the annual convention and opening luncheon.

Please contact Kimberly Nelson, Manager, Communications & Education, at 605-361-2281 or kimberly.nelson@sdaho.org with any questions.
