FEMA Health Sector Emergency Preparedness course set for Oct. 2

Ready for disaster - checking off the items on the emergency preparedness form

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Center for Domestic Preparedness will hold a free Health Sector Emergency Preparedness course on Oct. 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ramkota in Pierre. The course will provide training in the achievement of the four core elements outlined in the 2016 Emergency Preparedness Requirements for Medicare and Medicaid Participating Providers and Suppliers Final Rule.

This training was previously scheduled for August but was postponed due to FEMAā€™s hurricane response efforts.
