SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron and Southridge Healthcare Center in Sioux Falls were approved by the board and the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) welcomed them as new members in July.
Southridge Healthcare is a 110-bed long-term and short-term care facility which has been providing skilled nursing and rehab services to the Sioux Falls community for over 40 years.
SunQuest Healthcare Center, a sister facility to Southridge Healthcare, is located in Huron and has 105 licensed beds, 10 assisted living units and 45 independent units.
Both facilities have been owned by HealthQuest since 1994 with Joseph M. Higdon of Cedarburg, Wisconsin serving as president of the company.
The administrator of SunQuest is Laurie Solem and Bessie Hammer is administrator of Southridge.
