Updated Star Ratings and List of HAC-penalized Hospitals Coming this Month

As part of the February refresh of Hospital Compare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) plans to update its hospital overall star ratings. In addition, CMS is expected to release the performance results from the fiscal year 2019 Hospital-acquired Condition Reduction Program (HAC), including the list of penalized hospitals. The American Hospital Association provides more information that can be accessed here.
