Shawnee Rechtenbaugh, Secretary, of the Department of Human Services (DHS) continued her
budget briefing from Dec. 10 to the Joint Committee on Appropriations (JCA). DHS operates on a $453M budget with 40% being state funds and 60% federal funds, DHS has budgeted 594 FTEs.
The Secretary discussed
Programs/Initiatives of the department from providers rate setting workgroups:
- Assisted Living Rate Tiers recommendations,
- Community Support Providers and
- Nursing Home Providers
The final rate setting recommendations will be presented to the legislature in August prior to FY22 budget setting.
