Telehealth Insurance Coverage Expanded

President Trump announced this morning, Wed. March 17, a temporary & emergency basis under COVID19 1135 waivers for Medicare telehealth coverage. This allows beneficiaries to receive a wider range of services from their doctor without traveling to a healthcare facility.

This guidance follows on President Trump’s call for all insurance companies to expand and clarify their policies around telehealth.
