Sepsis Alliance Offers Educational Opportunities for Healthcare Professionals

Quite simply, sepsis is an overreaction of your body’s immune system, as it relates to a source of infection. Treating sepsis requires urgent medical treatment, coinciding with current, evidenced based treatment methods. As part of the Sepsis Alliance, the Sepsis Alliance Institute offers sepsis education and resources for healthcare providers across the continuum of care. The Sepsis Alliance Institute provides health care colleagues with sepsis education for a variety of specialty populations such as; pediatrics, obstetrics, oncology, surgical patients, COVID-19, and geriatrics. Education is frequently offered free of charge and includes contact hours to apply towards your licensure and/or specialty certification.

As part of their Sepsis: Across the Continuum of Care webinar series, they will be hosting a webinar on February 17 on post-COVID conditions in children and young people. Click here for more information.

Through their main website, www.sepsis.org, the Sepsis Alliance also offers education for non-clinical individuals and support for sepsis survivors.

Please take some time to explore these great resources and learn how you can better care for the populations you serve.
