Healthcare Emergency and Crisis Planning Tabletop Exercise

​On Tuesday, July 12 from 10 am -12 pm CST, SDAHO in partnership with the South Dakota Healthcare Coalition and the South Dakota Department of Health, will host a crisis standards of care interdisciplinary tabletop exercise in Fort Pierre at Drifters Event Center. This event will review scenarios related to crisis standards of care and will include roundtable discussion on the escalation of medical care during large scale emergencies and communication between hospitals, nursing homes, EMS, and other community partners. Attendees will participate in scenario-based learning by conducting 3-minute exercises on various emergencies and incidents. Panelists will help attendees identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.

NOTE: Feel free to share with others that may benefit, as attendees do not need to attend the  Rural Health Leaders conference to register for this tabletop exercise. Specific audience includes hospital and long-term care emergency preparedness planners, leadership teams and clinical nurse leaders.
