The American Hospital Association (AHA) recently released a report to help hospitals and health systems combat workforce issues.
Strengthening the Health Care Workforce: Strategies for Now, Near and Far was developed with input from AHA members. The first section released includes strategies and considerations to help hospital and health system leaders:
- Address staff well-being.
- Support behavioral health initiatives.
- Prevent workplace violence.
In the coming months, AHA will add sections about:
- Creative staffing models.
- Data and technology.
- Diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Recruitment and retention strategies.
