Hospice and Palliative Care Education

Finding Hospice and Palliative Care specific education is not always easy.  Often, one must travel to national conferences incurring excessive costs that are not always in the budget.  SDAHO wants to make you aware of its efforts to provide hospice and palliative car education along with two regional conferences that focus on hospice and palliative care.  Great topics, in person and virtual venues, manageable travel expenses. 

SDAHO will be providing FREE monthly education from the Hospice Foundation of America for Fall 2023- Spring 2024 for its members. To see the upcoming sessions, click here.  SDAHO members can register for the courses through the education calendar that will take you to your member portal. Don’t forget to look through the Hospice and Palliative Care section of the SDAHO website for information on LifeCircle South Dakota, Advance Care Planning, Legislative issues, clinical resources, professional development, patient resources and additional recorded education. 

The Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Iowa is holding their Fall Conference Thursday November 2, 2023 In Des Moine Iowa at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel.  The Hospice and Palliative Care Association of Iowa Fall Conference provides education for hospice and palliative care professionals. This conference features a variety of clinical, regulatory and leadership topics presented by national consultants and industry authorities. To see their brochure, click here. The Minnesota Network of Hospice & Palliative Care will be holding a virtual program:  Essential Palliative Summit: A compassionate Approach to Serious Illness Care on November 17, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. To view the program click here.
