Earlier this week in Pierre, the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) marked a significant milestone as February 3 was officially proclaimed “SDAHO Day” in South Dakota, recognizing the association’s 100 years of service to health care across the state.

Governor Larry Rhoden joined SDAHO members during the board meeting and All District Meeting to sign the proclamation and share remarks emphasizing the importance of health care, his appreciation for those who serve South Dakotans, and applauded the role SDAHO plays in keeping our state healthy and strong.

The celebration continued with a 100th Anniversary Social at the historic St. Charles Hotel in Pierre, which once served as SDAHO’s first office space prior to the association’s move to Sioux Falls in 1975. Members and state legislators gathered to reflect on a century of progress and to celebrate SDAHO’s continued commitment as the unified voice of health care in South Dakota.
