The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO) is pleased to share, on behalf of the South Dakota Healthcare Preparedness Coalition (HPC), the completed 2026 Hazard Vulnerability Assessment (HVA) reports for hospitals, emergency medical services (EMS), and long-term care providers.
These reports provide a statewide snapshot of identified hazards, risks, and preparedness priorities across South Dakota’s healthcare continuum. Healthcare organizations are encouraged to utilize the findings to help guide emergency operations planning, preparedness activities, training and exercise priorities, and overall readiness efforts within their facilities.
The reports will also be available on the HPC website for future reference.
