The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations is sharing an upcoming training opportunity for health care professionals interested in Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) education.
The 40-hour Adolescent-Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Didactic Course will be offered virtually through a partnership between the South Dakota Network Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault and Hennepin Healthcare, with contributions from the Avera SANE team. The course is open to registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and physicians.
Sessions will be held one day a week over 5 weeks.
- Schedule: Wednesdays, August 26 through September 23, 2026, from 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. CT.
- There is no cost to attend, and CEUs are available.
- The course meets the didactic requirements to be SANE-trained; hands-on clinical training is also required following completion.
