Free hospital-based first receiver decontamination training offered in October

Healthcare professionals are invited to take part in two upcoming free Hospital-Based First Receiver Decontamination Trainings designed to strengthen hospital preparedness and response.

These full-day, hands-on trainings will provide practical experience in recognizing HazMat and CBRNE hazards, safely using personal protective equipment (PPE), managing contamination control and patient flow, and applying First Receiver principles for triage and decontamination. The training is aligned with federal HAZWOPER requirements for hospital First Receivers.

Two training opportunities are available:

There is no cost to attend, and travel expenses are reimbursable through the South Dakota Healthcare Preparedness Coalition. Additional information and registration are available through the South Dakota Healthcare Preparedness Coalition website.
