National campaigns raise awareness of flu vaccination and hand hygiene

The National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW), Dec. 2-8, is a national awareness week focused on highlighting the importance of influenza vaccination. Coupled with that, Dec. 3-9 is National Handwashing Awareness Week. Research has shown that getting a flu shot and washing your hands are two simple, yet effective, ways to avoid the flu and other illnesses.
