SDAHO’s Endorsed Business Partner Merritt Hawkins published a study on the increased access to medical service — the idea that success in healthcare delivery depends on “being everywhere, all the time” — is part of a growing trend in Convenient Care.
This segment of their business has grown as more and more of their hospital clients are opening Urgent Care Centers to keep non-emergent patients out of the ER. That in conjunction with expansion of Retail Medicine and Free Standing ER’s, the requests for Urgent Care recruitment have almost tripled for us since 2015. In 2018 Urgent Care was our 9th most requested search and Emergency Medicine was #11, but neither came close to the demand for Nurse Practitioners coming in as our 3rd most requested.
