DSS RFI for State Youth Suicide Prevention and Early Interventions

The South Dakota Department of Social Services (DSS) Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit information regarding suggested proposals and interest from Community Mental Health Centers, emergency departments, or community-based organizations serving youth which are interested in implementation of youth suicide prevention or early intervention programming through promising or evidence-based practices.

This is specific to grant activities related to the Garrett Lee Smith (GLS) Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) SM-19-006 issued by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).  Upon review of the RFI responses received, the DSS DBH intends to identify proposals that could be included in the grant application. Approximately $736,000 annually, for five years, with an anticipated project start date of June 30, 2019. Responses are to be received no later Friday, February 22 by 5:00 PM (CST) to DSSBH@state.sd.us.
