The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations is excited to host its first annual Facility Art Contest. SDAHO reached out to member Activity Directors from nursing homes and assisted living facilities asking them to take part in this exciting opportunity. This year’s theme is: My Community – Past, Present and Future. Facilities taking part in the art contest will showcase their completed project during the 2024 Post-Acute Partners in Care Conference, taking place in Mitchell, SD April 10-11.
Over the past couple of months Activity Director’s along side their residents and community members have been working hard creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
15 facilities are participating this year, with winners selected during the conference. Those attending the conference will vote for their favorite art piece, with the winner’s being announced on the last day of the conference, which will include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
SDAHO wanted to share some of the art pieces leading up to this year’s conference.
