The prevalence of the top five neurological conditions in children is estimated to affect nearly 11 million in the United States alone. The overwhelming prevalence can contribute to delays in proper identification and treatment of initial symptoms. This lecture provides an overview of a multitude of common to rare neurological and neurosurgical conditions and discusses presentations and treatment strategies for them. Overall, a better understanding of the neurological conditions and the symptoms associated with these conditions will lead to more prompt identification, which will lead to expedited treatment for children and hope for their families.
