Purpose: The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the assessment, management, and prognostication of patients with end-stage liver disease and palliative care. This webinar will also discuss the role of palliative care providers in lessening symptom burden using pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions and having goals of care conversations with end-stage liver disease patients.
Objectives:
- Describe common symptoms associated with end-stage liver disease
- Discuss some of the challenges with prognostication in this population and review available prognostication tools
- Review the evidence regarding pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic treatment strategies for patients with end-stage liver disease
