Overview: 

This session will cover the basics of conflicts of interest, excessive compensation, and dealing with vendors and suppliers.

Introduction to IRS Code Section 4958 (“intermediate sanctions”) will feature prominently in this session.

Presenter:

Michael L. Wyland, CSL, has over thirty years of experience in corporate and government public policy, management, and administration. He is an expert on nonprofit governance and fundraising issues featured in media including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, Fox News, Washington Post,  FierceHealthCare, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and The Nonprofit Quarterly.  He currently serves as an editorial advisory board member and contributor to The Nonprofit Quarterly, with more than 400 articles and features published since 2012.

Registration for this series is per connection needed at a facility. This allows multiple staff/board members to participate in the education using one connection. Prior registration is required to ensure connection information and applicable materials are distributed prior to the webinar. The registration fee for this series is $199 per SDAHO Member facility /$399 per non-member facility.
