National Minority Health Month Virtual Event #VaccineReady
Event Details
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Office of Health Equity proudly presents our virtual event in recognition of National Minority Health Month. This year’s theme is “#VaccineReady.”
Guest speakers include representatives from: Community Health Centers; Morehouse College School of Medicine; the National Council of Asian Pacific Islander Physicians; and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Minority Health.
Speakers will focus on the disproportionate impact that COVID-19 has had on communities of color, why disparities in health outcomes and health care access persist, and what measures can be taken to address these inequities. Additionally, speakers will explore COVID-19 vaccine promotion and uptake among racial and ethnic minorities.
