Overview

Is your facility utilizing the 1135 waiver correctly? Are you prepared for potential changes to reimbursement this fall? Attendees will learn about Section 1135 of the Social Security Act, appropriate application of the waiver, and the documentation needed to support the waiver. We will discuss ICD-10 and MDS coding concerns surrounding Covid-19. The presentation will also cover reimbursement changes coming Oct 1st, including changes to the PDPM Mapping tool, delays in new SNF QRP quality Measures, and potential Medicaid changes.

Presenter

Melanie Tribe-Scott, RN, RAC-MT, RAC-MTA QCP, Director of Clinical Reimbursement Education at MDS Consultants 

Melanie has over 25 years of experience in long-term care and has held a variety of positions. She currently holds the position of Director of Clinical Reimbursement Education with MDS Consultants. She is now a Master teacher for both the RAC-CT and Advanced courses and is a Certified QAPI Professional. Melanie has consulted for several long-term care facilities and has excellent results with improving RAI systems. She has provided educational programs on topics such as PDPM, nursing documentation, MDS coding, and Quality Measures. She is regarded as an inspiring team leader with exceptional analytical and communication abilities. Melanie is passionate about person-centered care and resident advocacy.
