Each of South Dakota’s 35 state legislative districts has a unique story to tell about  its residents, including the challenges and strengths facing the well-being of its communities. This demographic resource, from the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations (SDAHO), provides legislators, legislative staff, and members with profiles of all 35 legislative districts, to help tell those stories. The excel document provides demographic measures for each legislative district, town, city, and state including factors relevant to determinants of employment, income, housing and health insurance coverage data.

All users need to do- is use the drop-down arrows to choose your legislative district, town, city to compare.

This first edition will continually be updated to include additional population demographics, and visualizations using census data.  The source of the information comes from the American Community Survey (ACS) which is an ongoing survey by the U.S. Census Bureau.
