The American Hospital Association will host a special webcast on open enrollment with HHS Secretary Sylvia Mathews Burwell on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 1-2 p.m. CT/noon-1 p.m. MT.
AHA Chairman-elect Gene Woods, president and CEO of Carolinas Healthcare System, will host a conversation with the secretary about the upcoming open enrollment period for 2017 health coverage and the important role hospitals and health systems continue to play in getting their communities covered. Hospital leaders will share examples of their organizations’ enrollment efforts and discuss best practices, and the AHA will debut a new video hospitals can use in their outreach to young adults without health coverage.
