Hospice reconsideration requests webpage now available

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has made available a Reconsideration Requests webpage, which provides information and updates related to the annual reconsideration process for the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) Annual Payment Update (APU) determinations.

Each year, by October 1, CMS publishes the quality measures a hospice must report. If the required quality data is not reported by each designated submission deadline, the hospice will be subject to a 2 percent reduction in their Annual Payment Update (APU).

The hospice quality reporting program quick reference guide found on the webpage covers many frequently asked questions, offers contacts for help desk assistance and shares other helpful links, including the link for the official CMS Post-Acute Care listserv to receive important quality reporting program updates.
