Medicare card handouts available from CMS

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has finished mailing new cards to Medicare enrollees in South Dakota. A unique Medicare number replaces the enrollee’s Social Security Number on the new cards.

A variety of resources are available for providers to use in educating Medicare enrollees about the new card – and what to do if a new card was not received. Since the mailing has been completed in South Dakota, providers may find the “Still Waiting for Your New Card” tear-off sheets useful. Providers can order pads of tear-off sheets by registering and ordering online.

Visit the provider webpage for the latest information.
