House Ways and Means Committee sends letter to CMS asking for burden reduction

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) has been involved in discussions with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the House Ways and Means Committee to seek regulatory relief and recently received a copy of the letter to CMS identifying issues for all post-acute care providers.

The letter offers a sample of key issues and recommendations presented to the House Ways and Means Committee by post-acute care providers as a part of the committee’s Medicare Red Tape Relief Project initiative. This initiative seeks to reduce Medicare regulations and mandates, and improve health care for seniors.
