SD Department of Health newsletter offers useful information for LTC providers

The South Dakota Department of Health’s Office of Health Care Facilities Licensure and Certification has released for long term care (LTC) providers the December edition of their monthly newsletter called “The Partnership News and Best Practice.”

Some of the information covered in this edition includes facility engagement on challenging behaviors in long term care, essential oils, infection control, emergency preparedness, privacy, provider preview reports, sepsis website information from the Centers for Disease Control, a note on electronic submission of building plans and proposed rule changes for assisted living centers.
