Electronic Visit Verification Implementation Date Pushed Back

South Dakota is in the process of implementing Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) as required by the 21st Century CURES Act. The State is working with a vendor, Therap, to implement an EVV system for providers to utilize in order to meet this requirement.

The Division of Long Term Service and Supports (LTSS) initially targeted January 2019 to pilot the EVV system with providers; however, in an effort to release a more comprehensive case management and EVV system, LTSS has made the decision to move the target date to May of 2019. SD LTSS will identify a few providers to assist with piloting the Therap system in the upcoming months.
