Philip Health Services Adding Units and Renovating Nursing Home

Philip Health Services (PHS) will receive funding of $4,999,000 to expand and improve its nursing home. PHS will use the federal funding along with $4,735,000 of other contributions for a total project cost of $9,734,000. The project will make renovations to the current nursing home as well as build a 14,500 square feet addition. The renovations and new space will include a memory care unit and an additional 12 beds. These upgrades are designed to provide a more residential home style facility.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $52 million in 45 community facilities projects that will benefit nearly 200,000 rural residents in 16 states. USDA will make additional funding announcements in the coming weeks. Congress appropriated $2.8 billion for Community Facilities direct loans and grants for fiscal year 2019.

SDAHO continues to assist member facilities with the application loan process from the USDA.
