In November 2019, a multidisciplinary team of long term care experts at Avera eCARE launched Project ECHO: Nursing Home. During these ECHO sessions (conducted via Zoom video conferencing) the expert panel presents a didactic presentation reviewing actual patient cases (remaining HIPAA compliant) followed by a discussion with the participants to gather feedback and care recommendations.
​Avera eCARE offers this series the second Wednesday of each month from 2-3pm CST. All sessions are conducted utilizing Zoom video conferencing, so travel is not required. These sessions are open to administration and frontline staff who work in Nursing Homes and they are offering free continuing education (CE) credits for nurses and social workers.
Topics include: Common Changes in Clinical Conditions, Polypharmacy, MOST/POLST, Psychotherapeutics.
