CMS Vaccine Mandate: Compliance and Impact on Healthcare

CMS issued an interim final rule requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for workers in most health care settings, including hospitals and health systems, that participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The rule is effective as of Nov. 5. Under the regulation, Phase I requirements must be completed by Sunday, Dec. 5, and all eligible workers must be fully vaccinated by Jan. 4, 2022.

On December 16, Nancy Ruzicka will describe the new Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements for employee vaccinations, explain consequences for non-compliance and describe acceptable accommodations for hospital and nursing home facilities.  To register for this session, click here.
