Regulatory Updates on COPs for Critical Access Hospitals

SDAHO will host a comprehensive 3-part webinar series delving into the critical access hospital conditions of participation regulations. The sessions will cover interpretive guidelines, along with pertinent insights into quality, safety, and oversight letters directed to state survey agencies. In response to the dynamic landscape of healthcare, we recognize the influx of new regulations and interpretative guidelines for critical access hospitals in recent years.

This webinar series aims to support healthcare professionals in navigating and complying with these evolving standards. We will specifically address challenging new areas such as patient rights, infection prevention, antibiotic stewardship, emergency preparedness, and QAPI, focusing on commonly cited areas of non-compliance.

The upcoming session will concentrate on the critical access hospital conditions of participation tailored for rural health networks. Expert presenter, Nancy Ruzicka, will guide you through ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Key aspects covered include location considerations, emergency services, bed management, length of stay, the physical environment, and emergency preparedness measures. Join us as we strive to enhance your understanding and proficiency in these critical areas of healthcare compliance. The first session is scheduled for February 15 from 12pm – 1:30pm CST.
