The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations is excited to welcome two outstanding keynote speakers to this year’s Post-Acute Partners in Care Conference. This year’s event will take place in Mitchell, SD at the Highland Conference Center, April 10-11, 2024.
This year’s Opening Keynote Speaker is Jack York, a pioneer in the field of technology and aging. Jack co-founded It’s Never 2 Late (iN2L), a company dedicated to helping older adults realize the full benefits of engagement technology. Today Jack travels all over the country in a 42-foot trailer magically changing the perception of senior living and aging. Jack has a passion for changing the paradigm and the stereotypes of aging, especially stereotypes tied to people living with dementia.
Before traveling the country capturing the stories from our oldest generation, Jack spent 17 years working in Silicon Valley, where he began to see and use technology to foster connections. Jack then left his job, packed up his equipment and wondered what the heck to do with it. With the help of a friend, he donated computers to an assisted living community in California. The donation became a labor of love and led to the founding of iN2L in 1999 which evolved into a national leader with over 4000 communities in the US and Canda utilizing the technology. In 2022, he launched TaleGate, a company that integrates onsite celebrations at senior living communities with the ability to capture life stories.
At an age when most people begin their retirement, Jack wants to meet people in the middle of theirs and put their best stories center stage. During his Keynote speech, Jack will share his experiences and share some of the most memorable stories. To learn more about Jack York, click here.
