November is National Care at Home Month, an annual observance recognized each year to bring together the care at home movement, inspire outreach to communities, media, and policymakers, recognize the valuable contributions of provider staff and volunteers, and continue building awareness of care at home.
A Shared Goal
Our collective mission is to ensure that all individuals — aging or living with serious or acute illness — have access to high-quality, person-centered healthcare wherever they call home. National Care at Home Month highlights the many types of in-home care, including home health care, home care, hospice care, palliative care, and Medicaid HCBS.
Throughout November, SDAHO will share information and resources celebrating each area of care:
- Nov. 2–8: Hospice & Palliative Care Week
- Nov. 9–15: Home Care Week
- Nov. 16–22: Medicaid HCBS Week
- Nov. 23–29: Home Health Week
