Mental health committee drafts proposed legislation

The Access to Mental Health Services Study Committee met Dec. 3 to discuss proposed legislation for the 2019 legislative session. Most of the meeting was spent wordsmithing two proposals and discussing a third proposal. The first proposed bill is to expand the 211 services statewide. The second proposal is a request for five more task force meetings for the 2019 interim to tackle items which need to change in order to improve access. The third proposal being discussed will deal with involuntary commitments.

Once the proposals are finalized and made public the links to the language will be provided.
