CDC and Department of Health Data Use Agreement

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP) is entering into a new agreement with the South Dakota Department of Health to provide healthcare facility data from CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) to the South Dakota Department of Health. This data will be used solely for the purposes of surveillance and prevention with the overarching goal to enhance the value of data reported to NHSN for public health purposes.

CDC hosted a webinar on March 4th with leadership representatives from the Department of Health, SDAHO and for all healthcare facilities in the state of South Dakota to discuss the new Data Use Agreement (DUA). Click here to view the recording or PowerPoint from the webinar.
